Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires as Electrician.  The Electrician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for maintenance and installations within Rainbow District School Board.

The successful candidate will have a Grade 112 diploma and a Province of Ontario Trade Certificate (or equivalent provinical) as an Electrician with a minimum of 5 years experience of commercial electrical work, while possessing a Certificate of Qualification.  The individual will require a thorough knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, an ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical control and distribution equipment, and have a thorough knowledge of lighting.  Preference will be given to individuals with additional experience in building control systems, pneumatics and fire alarm systems.

The position requires an individual who can work independently and has strong written and oral communication skills.  As this position requires travel between sites, a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
