This role will focus on performance and business reporting.
Support the Senior Manager Operating Engineering & Performance Reporting by effectively managing the Performance and Business Reporting teams, System Operations goals/objectives/strategies/policies and procedures.
Lead/oversee Operations support for ORMS maintenance, Project Support/Testing, Tx Cable Locates, NOMS Support, System Operations Custom Applications, Tools Maintenance and Communications Support
Working with projects teams as required ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and operational processes are developed, tested and implemented.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of Management Information to support monthly Operations Performance Reporting (OPR), Major Initiatives Review and Scorecards Reporting.
In collaboration with others, undertake a review of System Operations performance reporting , with a view to streamline the current structure; assess the need for report currently produce, consolidate reports where need and develop a strategy that will allow easy tracking and reporting the division’s accomplishments.
Provide input on yearly initiatives business plans pertaining to sustainment and improvement
Help develop and support a range of productivity initiatives throughout Hydro One Networks as well as assisting in developing, tracking and reporting against productivity metrics and supporting the defense of productivity related evidence in regulatory proceedings.
Support ongoing work related to productivity and cost savings, including assisting with the development of productivity measures and monitoring performance against these measures.
Lead System Operations evidence preparation in support of both the Transmission and Distribution rate application.
Prepare issue briefs, pre-filed evidence, undertakings, interrogatory responses, witness preparation briefings etc. to support the regulatory process including major Transmission and Distribution rate applications and interactions with Hydro One Regulatory Affairs and the Ontario Energy Board (OEB).
Adhere to and administer Power Worker Union and Society of Energy Professionals collective agreements.
Maintain a high level of public, customer, and employee relations.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
Requires a thorough knowledge of managing data management and performance reporting
Requires a thorough knowledge of quantitative and qualitative techniques, to perform analytical studies, evaluate risk and develop practical solutions to problems.
Requires a thorough knowledge of the OH&S Act & Regulations and Hydro One Health and Safety Policies.
Requires knowledge of Investment planning, asset management, business management and the relationship to Hydro One rate filing applications.
Requires familiarity of the Ontario Electricity Market structure and rules.
Requires knowledge of technical writing for the preparation of OEB evidence, presentations, technical reports and specifications.
Familiarity with the Power Workers Union and Society collective agreements.
A period of 4 to 6 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
Education, 4-year University degree in business, economics, engineering or equivalent.
Listening, Understanding and Responding, has the ability to accurately listen, understand and respond appropriately when interacting with individuals and groups.
Motivational, ability to instill motivation and driving staff and the unit to excel against a standard of excellence.
Excellent communication skills to effectively work with customers, both internal and external, of significant events affecting the Company’s assets including critical infrastructure, safety and environmental issues.
