We currently have an opportunity to join the Laurier community as a Marketing and Communications Officer.
The Marketing and Communications Officer will be a key contributor to the university’s Communications, Public Affairs and Marketing (CPAM) department. Reporting to the Associate Director: Marketing and Creative Services with accountability to the Associate Director: Communications and Public Affairs, the Marketing and Communications Officer will be involved in a variety of communications, marketing, research, media relations and awareness tasks and initiatives. The key focus of the position will be the coordination and creation of content for regular marketing and recruitment materials as well as special or one-time marketing and reputation materials. The incumbent will also be involved in researching, writing and editing a variety of communications pieces, including news releases, articles and stories for the university’s alumni magazine, university core web properties as well as assisting with news inquiries. The position deals extensively with groups and individuals both internal and external to the university.
