Position Summary :

The Faculty of Music, Wilfrid Laurier University, requires part-time contract academic staff (CAS) to teach the course listed below in the Winter Term 2020 to be taught at the Waterloo Campus. Following is a brief description of the course to indicate the content and level of difficulty. We would be happy to provide additional information that may be required.

MU267 Jazz Harmony II  – 0.5 credit
Continuation of Jazz Harmony I (Analysis, composition and improvisation of jazz harmony). The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of and experience in teaching jazz harmony, as well as significant jazz performance experience. Winter Term – Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30 – 3:50pm.

Rate of pay for 0.5 undergraduate intramural courses: $7575.00 plus 4% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation. Total classroom hours for a 0.5 credit weight course: 36 hours.Applicants shall apply electronically. Applications must be received by 23:59 local time, by the deadline date on the posting.
