Professor Karen A. Grépin, in the Department of Health Sciences in the Faculty of Science, invites applications for a one-year post-doctoral position in the area of Global Health/Economics Research. The initial appointment will be for one year with a possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating research projects investigating the role of external shocks on the health seeking behavior in various international contexts. This includes assistance with acquiring and preparing data, data analysis and management, literature reviews, and the authorship of academic publications.
Please note, this is a limited term position for one year.
Qualifications : The candidate must possess a PhD degree in economics or a related quantitative discipline from an accredited institution, and strong understanding of research design, research methodology and data analysis. The ideal candidate must also have prior experience conducting evaluation studies using household survey or administrative data. This position requires the successful candidate to have a high degree of computer literacy, including proficiency in one or more statistical programming language. Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills, including academic publications, are also required.
