POSITION SUMMARY:

As Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence, the incumbent will be responsible for effectively managing and analyzing the processes related to the reporting and analysis of sales and financial activity for the various business activities within Canadian Wealth Management (CWM).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Responsible for overall reporting and payment processes related to:
* Monthly/Quarterly Reporting and Analytics
* Compile and distribute a number of Business Line Productivity, FC compensation related, Partner referral metrics and Inter SPCG employee program details
* Development and maintenance of Tableau and EDW (SAS) data elements
* WISE (Client Referral Database) & EDW – SPCG Datamart:
* Manage the Sr. Commission Analyst in FC compensation processing
* Providing expertise and resolution on all WISE related issues to the user groups
* Acting as first line of investigation for partner referral issues
* Manage the data integrity and reporting out of the SPCG Datamart
* Provide oversight and planned direction to EDW data needs and business requests
* Database Administration:
* Ensuring that all local data sources used for both internal and external reporting are current and validated
* Identifying potential enhancements and changes to the WISE application
* Supporting the integration of new processes, business and activities to the database to ensure up to date reporting and analysis

2. Provide oversight and management for:
* Monthly reporting mediums including online, data extraction, excel based reports, and ad-hoc needs
* The development of key capabilities within the team in terms of Tableau and EDW/SAS reporting
* The overall FC Compensation process run by the Sr. Commission Analyst including all calculation, reporting and reconciliations
* Retail referral investigations Managing all MBR related issues for PIC, Trust, PB and business sourced through the BD Sales Force
* Performing systematic tracking, review, analysis and reporting of all inquiries related to partners

3. Provide oversight and direct support for the Sales Compensation System (WISE) and Database systems:
* Providing guidance and mentoring to Senior Commission Analyst
* Providing expertise and ensuring resolution on all WISE related issues to the user groups in both direct and supervisory capacity
* Responsible for review of monthly validation process of records for the Financial Consultant (FC) sales group and other groups that flow through from the Retail referral system
* Responsible for the calculation and validation of FC Performance Incentive
* Responsible for calculating and managing the payment of the Inter SPCG referral program
* Acting as liaison with technology and Salesbuilder support groups
* Managing & implementing the integration of new processes, business and activities to the database to ensure up to date reporting and analysis
* Identifying potential enhancements and changes to the WISE application
* Providing support to the MIS Reporting and Project group in identifying required data for specific financial and business analytics, integrating it to the database and assisting in the development of reports required to perform such analytics

4. Provide strong team leadership to motivate and develop individual and team performance by:
* Fostering and developing a strong, positive team environment, driving employee empowerment, innovation and a high degree of engagement
* Exhibiting an ability to listen, negotiate and communicate goals
* Sharing knowledge, experience and responsibility with employees in a drive for the highest standards of professionalism and service excellence
* Ensuring the performance management process is in place and employee development is a priority for all employees on the team
* Regularly scheduling one-on-one coaching with direct reports
* Identifying and supporting training and developmental needs of team members
* Managing staffing requirements and departmental workloads
* Facilitating a culture of open and honest communication
* Encouraging the generation of new ideas and approaches

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Knowledge of SPCG partners and business models (SM, Retail, Commercial, etc)
* Superior working knowledge of business related computer software i.e. Excel, Access, Word etc. for database management
* Previous Supervisory experience required with positive employee development
* SAS experience required
* Tableau Software experience an asset
* University or community college degree preferred
* Strong organizational skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong Communication skills
* Ability to exercise appropriate management controls for situations that involve risk and urgency
* Ability to maintain focus on the tasks and on their time guidelines
* Use a systematic approach to planning and problem solving

EDUCATION AND ACCREDITATIONS:

University or community college degree preferred
