The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Strategy & Operations will lead a deeply-skilled organization within Technology Services that consists of several Architects and domains, delivering a program to keep ESC systems secure, accurate, reliable and compliant. Reporting to the Director of Technology Services, this person will collaborate to set the strategic technology direction in support of the business objectives of the company, ensuring the infrastructure and processes required to effectively deliver critical business services are in place. They will create a work environment that enables their employees to be their best and deliver on their accountabilities. They are personally accountable for aligning with and championing organizational change to deliver business results, ensuring the teams are collaborating with peers across the organization to deliver value to the business. They demonstrate a high level of influence within their own organization, with their business partners, peer leaders and senior leaders.
Works with senior team members to develop ideas and team strategy that have long-term, strategic impact, aligning with Enterprise direction. Responsible for initiating work and allocating resources necessary to implement strategy and achieve organizational goals
Provide technical and professional leadership over large or complex initiatives where multiple architectural disciplines are involved. Execute governance over solutions developed by architects.
Identify opportunities to enhance the architecture. Create and articulate the case for change by developing opportunity canvasses, highlighting potential business/customer benefits.
Maintains breadth and depth of technical delivery expertise including but not limited to Private Cloud implementations, Networks, Storage, Desktop, Virtualization, Data Centers etc.
Champions adoption of DevOps and Agile Delivery methodologies adjusted for infrastructure service delivery for both project implementations and operational support teams
Builds and maintains relationships with all levels of employees by creating an environment of safety and innovation within their organization and across peer groups
Models and creates an environment of accountability for their organization, peer groups and leaders by setting clear performance objectives in support of business outcomes
Develop and maintain accurate budget and forecast for labour and non-labour
Conduct regular performance evaluations and performance management activities
On-call Escalation point for Incident Management Process, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
Bachelors’ Degree with technical study or equivalent experience
12+ years technical experience in Infrastructure architecture, design and implementation in a diverse Enterprise real-time POS environment (Windows & Linux operating systems) subject to PCI regulation is required
5+ years of management experience; should include accountability for all aspects of leading an Enterprise organization including people processes, client/partner relationships, work processes and delivery of work products is required
Past experience with ITIL Change Management and Incident Management processes.
Experience in Healthcare or Financial industries
Experience with Network Segmentation
Experience with Project management
