Hydro One’s Talent Acquisition team is looking for a Consultant to develop meaningful relationships with the business and candidates to ensure we attract, hire and retain the best talent for our diverse and inclusive organization.
What will I be doing?
Manage recruitment process from start to finish: job postings, sourcing, interviewing, processing references and background checks to the offer stage
Provide guidance to hiring managers in all areas of internal and external recruitment including: sourcing strategies, policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to provisions of the appropriate Collective Agreements and applicable legislation
Manage and edit position requisitions in applicant tracking system and generate weekly reports for hiring managers
Stay informed of current trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive and creative with sourcing and attracting quality candidates
Assist and coordinate in all student recruitment programs
Coordinate and participate in career fairs, information sessions, networking events, on-campus recruitment activities, and other off-site events to promote employment opportunities at Hydro One
Take part in various Talent Acquisition related projects (i.e. Employer Brand)
What are we are looking for?
2 + years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced organization
Working experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, SuccessFactors experience an asset
Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset
University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources preferred
Experience leveraging Social Media / Professional Networks for recruitment
Previous experience or interest in employer branding, social media, and other outreach activities is an asset
Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
Results oriented, with the ability to think analytically and question the status quo
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with employees at all levels
