– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required
– College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience is required
– 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a video or other types of visual art production is required
– Proficiency in Japanese language is required.

Job duties:
– Create and upload Youtube Videos in Japanese to our Youtube Channel;
– Conduct market research on a regular basis, analyze how people in Japan perceive Canada or North American life style, constantly seek where their interests are;
– Plan new video content based on market analysis and understanding of the demand for information on Canadian/North American life;
– Organize and co-ordinate video production;
– Create scripts, select the cast and advise in the interpretation and delivery of video content;
– Organize and direct the artistic aspects of video production;
– Determine treatment, scope and scheduling of video production;
– Co-ordinate and direct the photography of production such as managing images (photos) and thumbnails to be inserted into videos;
– Edit video film and arrange film segments into sequences;
– Select scenes to be used from the original picture and determine film composition and cutting;
– Insert text for dialogue in Japanese;
– Edit sound and visual effects for selected scenes;
– Supervise and review the quality of work done by junior production staff;
– Direct and manage third party contractors based in Tokyo to ensure the quality of their editing work meets our standards;
– Review and evaluate the quality of work done by third party contractors after each project is completed
