Environmental Commissioner of Ontario: Release of Annual Environment Report

WHAT: This year’s report, titled Small Steps Forward, assesses government action on several biodiversity threats facing Ontario:

• Wildlife declines in populations of moose, amphibians and bats;
• Invasive species and the effectiveness of combatting species like phragmites, Asian carp, and feral hogs;
• Forest fire management, including the ecological and socio-economic risks of fire suppression in the boreal forest.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

WHERE: Queen’s Park Media Studio, Legislative Building, Queen’s Park, Toronto, Ontario
