Business Achievement Awards

Gala Offers Intimate Networking Opportunity to Diverse Suppliers
and Leading Canadian Corporations

TORONTO, September 1, 2015 – Canadian corporations and Aboriginal and Minority-owned businesses leading the way in supplier diversity will be celebrated on October 1, 2015 at the CAMSC Business Achievement Awards taking place at the Liberty Grand. Finalists, winners and guests from the supplier and corporate sides will have the opportunity to network in an intimate and inspiring environment. See below for a list of the finalists.

“Everyone who attends this gala has one thing in common,” says Cassandra Dorrington, president and CEO, CAMSC. “They are all committed to celebrating the shared business, social and economic impact of supplier diversity.   Aboriginal and minority entrepreneurs have their own inspiring stories to tell, while corporate leaders share leading practices in economic inclusion, and it is a fantastic and inspiring environment to forge new business connections. Facilitating business relationships between corporations and Aboriginal and minority-owned organizations is the cornerstone of CAMSC’s work. Since our inception in 2004 corporate members have spent more than $1.7 billion with our certified suppliers. That alone is a reason to celebrate.”

In addition to celebrating the winners, the evening’s keynote will be Joset Wright-Lacy, President, National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), U.S. The NMSDC and CAMSC are members of the Global-Link International Program which connects corporate leaders in the US, Canada, UK, South Africa, Australia and China through national councils that are driving economic inclusion of under-represented groups around the world.
