In the wake of Iranian missile strikes against two Iraq military bases and the crash of a Ukraine-bound 737 outside Tehran that, as per early reports, killed all 176 passengers on board, including 63 Canadians, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is slated to spend a third consecutive day ensconced in “private meetings,” as per his official agenda.

As iPolitics reported yesterday, Canada and other countries involved in the multilateral NATO-led effort in Iraq had already made the decision to “temporarily” relocate military personnel from Iraq to Kuwait to “ensure their safety and security,” according to a statement issued by Canadian chief of defence staff Jonathan Vance — an effort that will likely be accelerated following Tuesday’s attacks, which deliberately targeted bases housing US and coalition soldiers.
