Jacobs family opens the door to first Habitat home in Curve Lake – mykawartha.com

A family has received the keys to the first Habitat For Humanity home built in Curve Lake.

On Sunday, April 28, a special ceremony was held where the keys to 76 Quinquish Rd. were handed over to Tanya and Duane Jacobs. They, along with their four children and one grandchild, will reside in the home built by the Habitat For Humanity organization.

“To our family, a Habitat home means we can finally see our dreams coming true,” said Tanya, in a prepared release “We can say, this is our home and be proud of it.”

The family had been living in a very small three-bedroom, one-bathroom rental home in Curve Lake. Their rental home needed new windows, doors, a new roof and other necessary repairs.
