Ralph Goodale on Thursday said he currently has no specific future plans, but wouldn’t rule out the possibility of taking a new position with the government after not being voted back into the House of Commons.

“I’m not itching for any particular role, I just want to help this country succeed,” Goodale told reporters on his way into a meeting with the new Liberal caucus, some Liberal staff and some former MPs who were not re-elected. It was a first time the new caucus met as a group.
