Deal aims to strengthen education opportunities for Indigenous students

A memorandum of understanding signed at the end of October aims to boost educational opportunities for Indigenous students in the region.

Signed Oct. 23, the agreement is between N’Swakamok Native Alternative School and the Rainbow District School Board.

The two parties say the signing of the document not only helps ensure students have equal access to all available pathways in completing their secondary school diploma, but also connects students to post-secondary education opportunities, apprenticeships and/or the work place.
