Retail trade, March 2020
Retail sales fell for the first time in five months, plunging 10.0% to $47.1 billion in March. This marked the largest drop on record and the lowest level since November 2016.
Canadian Housing Statistics Program, 2019
For the first time, today the Canadian Housing Statistics Program is publishing data on residential properties in New Brunswick and their characteristics. This overview of residential properties in New Brunswick for reference year 2019 expands on the previously released data for British Columbia, Ontario and Nova Scotia.
Travel between Canada and other countries, March 2020
International travel to and from Canada came to a standstill by the end of March, as a result of government-imposed travel restrictions and border closings aimed at containing the virus. These actions were taken as the number of COVID-19 cases in Canada increased sharply in March due to travel-related exposure and community transmission.

Lumber production increased 8.4% from December to 4 384.7 thousand cubic metres in January. Production was 14.9% lower than in January 2019.

A revised preliminary dataset on the number of confirmed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases reported by provincial and territorial public health authorities to the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is now available. In addition, there is now an aggregated table that summarizes the information available in the dataset. The updated information covers the period from January 15 to May 13, 2020.
