The Prime Minister announces changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service

Ottawa, Ontario

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced the following changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service:

Guylaine Roy, currently Associate Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage, becomes Deputy Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie, effective August 13, 2018.

Janet King, currently President of the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Public Services and Procurement, effective August 13, 2018. In this role, Dr. King will be responsible for federal science infrastructure.
