Admission and Recruitment Assistant (Term)
A Brief Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Admission Operations, the Admission and Recruitment Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to Undergraduate Admission and Recruitment (UAR). The Admission and Recruitment Assistant is the first point of contact for UAR phone, in-person, email, and live chat inquiries. The incumbent is a subject matter expert for Undergraduate Admission and is knowledgeable on university wide operations to successfully redirect enquiries to other departments/units as required. In addition to front line customer service, the Admission and Recruitment Assistant is responsible for physical and electronic document processing efforts, electronic score validation and processing, the preparation of reports based on routine queries, and the management of databases to assist with achieving unit objectives or other administrative duties as assigned. The incumbent is required to have a high degree of attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
This position acts as a first point of contact for admissions, and provides information and resources to students, parents, and other internal and external parties. This position administers the phases of the admissions cycle, including processing requests from applicants, and preparing and distributing correspondence and documents to program offices. This position assists students with the registration process, including identifying required documentation, processing and signing documents on behalf of senior staff, such as academic change forms and status changes. This position also initiates and generates reports on admissions data.

- Monitors transcripts and updates registration data.
- Corresponds with external agencies on application and admission information.
- Provides administrative support to the department and/or unit.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
Required Education
- Two-Year Community College Diploma.
Required Experience
- More than 1 year and up to and including 2 years of experience.
- Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
