Position Title:  Business Process Analyst

Department:  Product Management

Reports To:  Senior Product Manager

Location:  Mississauga, ON


The Business Process Analyst will analyze business processes, software processes and data within Express Scripts Canada’s ERP system, to help drive higher productivity and streamlined activities and events. The successful candidate will facilitate the identification and documentation of detailed user stories (functional requirements), process and system flows and contribute to the overall user experience, technical solution and acceptance criteria for the upgraded ERP system. The analyst will be responsible for working closely with internal business process owners, technical teams and other stakeholders to support business needs.

Note: This is contract position until January 2023.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and document business process flows and process optimization needs
    • Coordinate business process discovery activities to clearly identify critical workflows and the personnel responsible and accountable for process components. Identify pain points & process gaps
    • Support writing the gap analysis and technical requirements with the development team
    • Work with vendor partners and internal development teams to outline business process mapping to support system impacts
    • Assist with project management tasks for cross-functional projects to ensure alignment including but not limited to process mapping, and testing both functional/UAT design & execution.
  • Definition & documentation of business requirements; Design review; QA test plan review & approval; UAT facilitation & execution; Training material development & support
  • Investigate and troubleshoot workflow and data integration issues for end-to-end process validation.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, AX; familiarity with AX to D365 migration is an asset
  • Familiarity with pharmacy/health care, insurance or PBM industry is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills ranging from problem identification through the proposal and implementation of potential solutions
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage timelines and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of initiative
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities to deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban) preferred
  • Previous re-engineering experience updating an existing ERP system to provide solutions for reporting, workflows and enhanced functions.
