JOB SUMMARY: The Health Planning Supervisor Reports to and receives direction from the Executive Director of Planning, Performance & Evaluation (PP&E).

PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

The Health Planning Supervisor will produce recommendations for future operational models for the delivery of services and programs from the Six Nations of the Grand River’s Wellbeing Department. The position will provide leadership and planning recommendations in alignment with the strategic vision of Six Nations of the Grand River in the context of the broader Canadian health care system. The Health Planning Supervisor is a member of the Planning, Performance & Evaluation portfolio and is responsible for the planning, organization, and coordination of the designated Health Transformation work for the Wellbeing department and overseeing the administration and operation of their assigned area.

The Health Planning Supervisor is accountable for the delivery of all components of the established workplan. This role supports the Executive Director of PP&E to plan strategic change to ensure an environment that supports professional practice and continuous quality improvement.

The Health Planning Supervisor will also accept responsibility for fostering an environment that has cultural values and principles of practice as foundation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

  • University graduate or Post-graduate Degree in the health field
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, strategic planning, leading change, and effective-working relationships
  • Demonstrated experience working in Haudenosaunee communities
  • Working knowledge of governmental policies, programs, services and procedures at the Federal, Provincial and Regional levels relative to the delivery of health services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standards of care, professional standards, best practice, evidence-informed decision making, legislative requirements, risk management and quality improvement.
