We’re thrilled to offer a unique opening for Indigenous individuals in Toronto to join our dynamic team as Indigenous Radio Admins. If you understand Canadian Indigenous accents well and can improve audio pronunciations, we’d love to have you on board. Your mission will be to collaborate closely with our NationTalk Radio crew to ensure that Indigenous names, places, and terms are spoken with accuracy and respect. This is an exclusive chance for Indigenous individuals in Toronto to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the vibrant world of Indigenous cultures through authentic audio representation.

Your Responsibilities:
As an Indigenous Radio Admin, your role will involve:
– Editing and mixing the NTR Newscast audios.
– Editing and mixing Listings’ audios (Jobs, Tenders, Events).
– Ensuring precision in pronunciations, especially when it comes to Indigenous names, communities, and places.
– Managing program uploads and scheduling on the digital radio station.
– Grasping the ins and outs of webmaster duties.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, here’s what you need:
- Identify as an Indigenous person from Canada.
- A good understanding of Canadian Indigenous cultures.
- A keen ear for audio pronunciation, with great attention to detail.
- Familiarity with audio and video editing software.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Any prior experience in radio production, audio, and video editing, or related fields is a bonus.
- If you have the ability to narrate ads, news, and announcements with a captivating and professional voice, that’s a big plus!
