THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION.   Under the direction and in conjunction with the Manager, Business Development, the incumbent is responsible and accountable for soliciting, negotiating, acquiring, developing, promoting and delivering workforce development training for all campuses. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  •  Negotiating and soliciting training opportunities which includes responding to request for proposals from potential purchasers of training i.e. employers, Provincial / Federal government agencies
  • Attending conferences, workshops and industry sector meetings in order to remain current, develop leads and nurture relationships
  • Working to close negotiations and miscellaneous details in an effort to produce signed contracts
  • Facilitating the delivery, development and implementation of new and existing training initiatives from a wide variety of training opportunities to reflect changing technology, economic and market influences and employment opportunities in accordance with current business/industry standards
  • Ensuring all contract logistics and details are agreed upon with the client and are completed
  • Participating in the development of new programs / courses and delivery strategies
  • Providing leadership with E-learning with Macromedia Breeze which includes client account management, creation of new modules, hardware and software issues, agreements and partnerships
  • Assisting with the continued development of strong relationships with local associations and boards
  • Recruiting and scheduling part-time faculty
  • Coaching, supporting and monitoring faculty to deliver training
  • Reviewing, documenting and analyzing expenditures and budget allocations


  •  Successfully completed a two year postsecondary diploma / degree in a relevant field of study that may include, but is not limited to, business, marketing, administration, and training
  • Two years of experience:
    • in a customer service or sales environment
    • developing and marketing new programs / products / initiatives
    • in a leadership position that included budget management
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Proven communication skills (written and oral)
  • Intermediate skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, excel)
  • Experience with administrative systems such Banner Financials, Adobe E-learning
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Ability to manage LMS platforms to support E-learning
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
