Position Title: PS363D Research in Behavioural Neuroscience

Additional Course Requirements: PS363D will be delivered on campus for the Winter 2021 term.
The Faculty of Science at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications to teach PS363D. Successful candidates will teach the course in the Winter 2021 term (1 January – 30 April 2021). This course has been approved to be taught on campus (with appropriate safety measures in place) and therefore access to the Waterloo campus is required. Students in this course who choose not to come to campus must be provided equivalent remote learning opportunities.
Students develop, conduct and write reports on experiments in selected areas of behavioural neuroscience.

Qualifications – Other: Refereed publications in the area of behavioural neuroscience demonstrating expertise in rodent behavioural techniques and immunohistochemistry required. Previous university teaching experience preferred.
Salary: $8,320.19 (inclusive of payments in lieu of benefits and vacation)

Courses posted with the letters “OC” following the course number, are designated Online Courses. If the posting is absent of “OC” it is a course normally taught on campus, but during COVID-19 this course may be taught remotely. Courses created specifically for online instruction have been collaboratively designed by a content expert (normally a faculty member) and an instructional designer and digital media and educational technology specialists. Online course development is guided by instructional design strategies and makes use of pedagogically led technology. Online courses are intentionally developed for instructors and students to be separated by space (location) and/or time (often both).
Remote instruction, as the term is used here, uses technology-enabled tools and software to facilitate course delivery when in-person instruction is not possible in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Remote” instruction is not directly comparable to “online course” instruction. The difference is not in the quality of the content, but in the design of content delivery.
