POSITION SUMMARY:

Wealth Management Advisor Solutions department is looking for a creative, energetic and results-oriented Senior Technical Business Analyst. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the implementation of Wealth Management applications to meet the needs of Scotia McLeod’s Investment Executives, a team of specialists who manage a comprehensive suite of innovative investment programs to meet the needs of our customers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

You effectively research and analysis of business requirements and functional specifications leading to the completion of complex functional specifications or External Design Documents.

You independently resolve and document complex problems to meet business needs.

You create, document and execute complex test cases. You design and maintain GUI screens.

You continually acquire and enhance knowledge of wealth applications and interfaces with current banking systems, wealth business strategies, policies, risk management methodologies and practices, product offerings, financial markets and financial instruments.

You provide guidance, mentoring, and training to junior technical business analysts and coops.

Participate in walkthroughs of wealth management applications during various stages of the project.

Perform Integrated System Testing and support User Acceptance Testing. Actively participate in large scale system implementation.

You possess strong leadership potential with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Provide on-going support to our clients and production applications.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Five years of technical business analysis experience supporting Wealth Applications.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products

Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, Sybase and MS SQL Server

Experience with PL/SQL, UNIX, PHP, HTML and Visual Basic is a definite asset

Experience with Use cases, UML, Rational Rose, Requisite Pro is a definite asset

Experience with HP/QC or Rational ClearQuest

Experience with Broadridge, Charles River Investment Management System and Charles River Anywhere is a definite asset

You possess strong leadership potential with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

EDUCATION:

A recognized degree in business, mathematics or a related discipline.
