Tenure-Track Position – Organizational Behaviour/Human Resource Management

The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics (Lazaridis School) at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions, one at the Assistant Professor level, and the second at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the OB/HRM area, commencing July 1, 2022. Candidates with an established research record of publications in top journals will be preferred. For at least one of these positions, research expertise in diversity in organizations will be considered an asset. These positions are subject to budgetary approval.

Qualifications for the position at the rank of Assistant Professor include a Ph.D. or completion of a Ph.D. within one year of employment start date with an emphasis in Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources or related field.

Successful candidates for the position at the rank of Assistant Professor must have:

  • Demonstrated exceptional research potential,
  • Demonstrated ability (a) to publish in top-tier business journals and (b) to maintain a highly productive research agenda,
  • Ability to effectively teach courses at the undergraduate and research-based graduate (MSc and Ph.D.) levels,
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the relevance of their research to a business audience,
  • Ability and interest to teach at the MBA level will be considered an asset.

Qualifications for the position at the rank of Associate Professor include a Ph.D. with an emphasis in Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources or related field.

Successful candidates for the position at the rank of Associate Professor must have:

  • Demonstrated exceptional research potential,
  • Track record of publishing in top-tier business journals and an established research program for ongoing research productivity,
  • Evidence for teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate (MSc and Ph.D.) levels,
  • Track record of successfully developing graduate students,
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the relevance of their research to a business audience,
  • Ability and interest to teach at the MBA level will be considered an asset.
