PDAC Aboriginal Affairs – improving relationships, increasing Aboriginal participation

From our Memorandum of Understanding with the Assembly of First Nations to the rapid growth of our Aboriginal Program, the PDAC continues to support Aboriginal participation in the mineral industry and positive relationships between industry and Aboriginal communities.

Exploration and Mining Guide for Aboriginal Communities

This guide, released in 2006 and revised for 2013, is designed to inform Aboriginal communities across Canada about the stages of the mineral development cycle, from early exploration to mine closure, to help Aboriginal people better understand the industry, and to identify the many ways in which exploration and mining can promote community sustainability.

Aboriginal Program at the PDAC annual Convention

The PDAC Convention in Toronto is an annual highlight for the world’s mineral exploration industry and it offers an excellent opportunity to bring Aboriginal people together with the exploration and mining sector.
