Redevelopment aims to draw visitors to west harbour with redesigned space, public art, food trucks and special events.
Workers are putting the finishing touches on a new west harbour pedestrian area that will soon be open to walkers, runners and cyclists.
The city says the majority of the fencing around the stretch of waterfront at the foot of James Street North, which has been under construction for years, is set to come down in the coming weeks.
“For the most part, that should be open for the public to use sometime mid-August,” said Chris Phillips, the city’s point person on the waterfront project.
