Anishinabek Nation to host 8th Annual Lands and Resources Forum
ANISHINABEK NATION HEAD OFFICE (February 9, 2024)— The Anishinabek Nation Lands and Resources Department will be hosting its 8th Annual Lands and Resources Forum: Kina-Gego-Naabadosin— Everything is Connected from February 13 to 15, 2024.
The Forum will include presentations and discussions among Anishinabek Nation leadership, First Nations and citizens, government officials, industry experts, and academic speakers to consult, share, and educate on topics relating to lands and resources. Topics include the Great Lakes, agriculture and food security, critical minerals and mining, forestry, energy, invasive species, and more, and their impact on First Nations across Ontario and Canada.

The Anishinabek Nation is a political advocate for 39 member First Nations across Ontario, representing approximately 65,000 citizens. The Anishinabek Nation is the oldest political organization in Ontario and can trace its roots back to the Confederacy of Three Fires, which existed long before European contact.
