Bank’s $200,000 donation will create a two-year TD Indigenous curator position

The TD Bank Group donated $200,000 to the Art Gallery of Sudbury to support a two-year TD Indigenous curator position to assist with the Gallery’s collection and future exhibitions.

The TD Indigenous curator is an opportunity for an Indigenous arts professional to gain experience working on the Art Gallery of Sudbury‘s expansion project by supporting activities, a release said.

This will include the creation of a dedicated Indigenous Exhibition Gallery that will host more Indigenous art exhibitions and circulate exhibitions to other cities in Ontario. It will also include the development of the permanent collection by adding works by Indigenous artists and furthering the development of policies and procedures supporting Truth and Reconciliation.
