The 2013/2014 and 2014 Canadian Community Health Survey: Public Use Microdata File is now available upon request.

During 2013 and 2014, data were collected from approximately 130,000 people aged 12 or older, residing in households in every province and territory.

The file provides data for 97 health regions or combined health regions across Canada. Available data topics include: physical activity, height and weight, smoking, exposure to second-hand smoke, alcohol consumption, general health, chronic health conditions, injuries and use of health care services. It also provides information on the socio-demographic, income and labour force characteristics of the population.

Note to readers

The Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) collects a wide range of self-reported information about the health status of Canadians, factors determining their health and their use of health care services.

Annual data from the 2014 CCHS were released in The Daily on June 17, 2015. Combined CCHS data for 2013/2014 were released in The Daily on June 24, 2015.
