The Urban Indigenous Homeward Bound (UIHB) program is helping sole-parent urban Indigenous women achieve self-determined education and career aspirations. Run by the Hamilton Regional Indian Centre (HRIC) with the support Mohawk College and other community, government, and program partners, the program is designed to reduce poverty and enhance intergenerational wellbeing and prosperity for Indigenous mothers and their children.

Launched in 2018, UIHB is celebrating its latest graduate and seeking applications for the next cohort, starting this Fall. The deadline to apply for this transformative program is August 26, 2022.
