Amid heightened security for a potential Israel-Hamas war protest that never materialized, Ward 3 trustee Maria Felix Miller took over as chair of Hamilton’s public school board on Monday.

She replaces Ward 7 trustee Dawn Danko, who chose to not seek a fourth one-year term.
