At an all-candidates event for Kitchener-Conestoga on Sept. 2, local youth had the chance to ask politicians their stances on pressing issues like climate change, housing affordability and Indigenous rights and reconciliation.

The online event, which was organized by community group Wilmot Stronger Together, did not include Conservative candidate Carlene Hawley, who declined to participate.

Here’s what the candidates had to say on the topic of truth and reconciliation.
