Indigenous Bar Association announces Appointment of Stuart Wuttke to Indigenous Peoples Counsel

The Indigenous Bar Association in Canada (the “IBA”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Wuttke to the prestigious Indigenous Peoples Counsel (IPC) designation, recognizing his dedication and contributions to the advancement of Indigenous law, rights, and governance. This honor reflects Stuart’s lifelong commitment to serving Indigenous communities and his unwavering advocacy for Indigenous jurisdiction, equity, and self-determination.

The IPC designation is reserved for distinguished Indigenous legal professionals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and commitment to the Indigenous legal community and the ongoing fight for justice and equality. Stuart’s appointment recognizes his leadership within the field and his dedication to fostering an environment where Indigenous laws and knowledge systems are respected and integrated into broader legal landscapes.

The IBA is the national non-profit organization representing Indigenous (First Nation, Métis, and Inuit) lawyers (practicing and non-practicing), judges, legal academics and scholars, articling clerks and law students, including graduate and post-graduate law students and paralegals in Canada.
