What’s on the agenda for the House and Senate committees today.
As part of their House-ordered reassessment of the “barriers to economic development in Indigenous communities” — and, more specifically, those “posed by fraudulent bids and applications for procurement opportunities set aside for Indigenous businesses, including those from non-Indigenous-owned companies” — INDIGENOUS AND NORTHERN AFFAIRS members have blocked off back-to-back two-hour sessions with no fewer than four front benchers: Public Works and Procurement Minister Jean-Yves Duclos and Indigenous Services Minister Patty Hajdu, as well as Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Gary Anandasangaree and Ginette Petitpas Taylor.
