Education, celebration part of Truth and Reconciliation goals

It will be a day of education, an opportunity to experience some pieces of Indigenous culture, and a chance to have some fun with the family.

On Saturday (June 25) from 12 to 3 p.m., the Dufferin County Cultural Resource Circle will be hosting a celebration event in recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21.

“It’s going to be a family celebration, which is what the elders asked us to do,” explained Debbie Egerton, chair of the DCCRC board. “There will be a bouncy castle, the playground, and lots of entertainment for everyone. The elders wanted the kids to be able to play.”
