Kashechewan First Nation Youth Journey Down the Albany River
July 24, 2017- Mushkegowuk Council, Moose Factory, Ontario
Grand Chief Jonathan Solomon congratulates and welcomes back the Kashechewan Youth who paddled the mighty Albany River which started from Constance Lake, Ontario.
“Grand Chief Solomon says these Youth paddled for 14 days, 415 kms down the Albany River. They have persevered the challenging conditions of the Albany River, the environment and most importantly the challenges, physically, spiritually and mentally. I am sure they supported and encouraged each other on this journey and I believe what they have learned in their experience is that anything is possible”.
I applaud the escorts and those who supported this “Journey down the Albany River”, the Leadership of Kashechewan First Nation and also to the Parents who may have been anxious and possibly were concerned of the well-being of their loved on.
