MNO Expresses Condolences on Passing of Donald Fiddler

It is with great sadness that the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) shares the loss of Donald Richard Fiddler. Don was a deeply passionate member of the Métis community with a life and career that focused on empowering others and support of Indigenous Education, Health and Arts initiatives. Don gave many years of service to the Métis community, including work with the MNO and Métis National Council (MNC), and represented Métis interests on many provincial and fedeAral health committees.

Born October 9, 1943 in Maidstone, SK Don passed surrounded by friends and family on April 19, 2023. An Indigenous ceremony is planned for late-May in Kelowna.
