Odawa Native Friendship Centre is transforming Shawenjeagamik Centre 510 into a cafe and they are in search of an amazing sign that will be on the face of the building.

They are calling on all Inuit, Métis & First Nations Artists, Graphic Designers and Illustrators to bring forth their entries. The name of the cafe to design the sign for is “Centre 510 Indigenous Cafe”

About the cafe:

By day, Shawenjeagamik will continue to operate serving breakfast and lunch to the indigenous homeless and remain their drop-in centre. In the evenings from 4pm until 10pm Centre 510 will be open to the public as an Indigenous cafe, serving coffee, teas, bannock, indian tacos, fry bread and various indigenous soups. The cafe will be operated by clients of Shawenjeagamik Centre 510 and all proceeds after their wages and supplies will go back into Shawenjeagamik providing much needed services.
