An acclaimed Indigenous director and actress has been making a feature film in Hamilton.

“Rosie” was written and directed by Gail Maurice, who many TV viewers will know from her role as Dorothy Cardinal in CTV’s gritty crime drama “Cardinal.”

Others may also know Maurice for her role as Georgina in CBC’s “Trickster.” She was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the Canadian Screen Awards for that role in this year’s Canadian Screen Awards.
