Serpent River First Nation powwow well attended – Elliot Lake News
The event was marked by Indigenous-made goods and dancing
The Serpent River First Nation opened up Saturday after being forced to close for two years due to the pandemic.
The Grand Entry featured participants in colourful regalia for the crowds gathered for the reopening at noon.
Traditional regalia and prayer were also part of the Grand Entry.
Outside the parade grounds, vendors were kept busy selling a wide range of Indigenous-made goods and food vendors were also kept busy serving the crowds attending.
