The City of Toronto is seeking an Indigenous-led Operator for the Indigenous Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
August 12, 2021
The Indigenous Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (“ICIE”) in Tkaronto (Toronto) will be an Indigenous-led, City-owned space designed to give Indigenous people an opportunity to advance their entrepreneurial aspirations by providing business programming, advisory services, mentorship supports, meeting and shared co-workspace, community event space and connections to business networks. The development of the ICIE presents a significant opportunity to connect First Nations, Inuit and Métis entrepreneurs across Toronto, Ontario, and Canada to critical business development resources and to one another.
Scheduled to open in 2023, a Request for Information (RFI) for an Indigenous-led Operator for the Indigenous Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ICIE) is live on Ariba, the City of Toronto’s procurement site. The purpose of this RFI is to identify Indigenous-led organizations interested in and suitable for governing and operating the ICIE.
All details, instructions and deadlines can be found on the site.
Collaborative proposals are strongly encouraged. Submissions are due by 12:00 PM EST on Tuesday, September 7.
