Sewer And Water Agreement With Rat Portage A Win/Win – 89.5 The Lake FM

A service agreement between the City of Kenora and the Rat Portage First Nation will benefit both communities.
That’s the feeling of Kenora M.P. Bob Nault.
Nault says while the federal government will be helping to foot the bill, expanding the number of homes using Kenora’s sewer and water system should help reduce costs for local residents.
“Because that will diversify the amount of households that will be using the water treatment plant and the water system. So that’s a positive win/win for the communities.”.
Nault expects work on the extended sewer and water line to the Rat Portage First Nation could begin as early as this spring.
