Wellness Mentor (Night) Position

Native Horizons Treatment Centre is looking to fill the position of Wellness Mentor (Night), who, under the direction of the Program Supervisor, assumes responsibility for the provisions of overnight support for clients, facilitation of morning exercises, maintenance of accurate information in Log book, and AMIS reporting entries; ensuring the safety of all occupants within the facility as well as property, and working jointly with all staff on a team approach.  Overnight shifts are 11 pm to 9 am with 3 days on and 3 days off, also weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education, Certified Addictions Counsellor I or II, or related post-secondary education in Social Services with counselling and/or two years related work experience in the addictions or helping field.
• Experience working in and/or knowledge of addictions residential treatment programs.
• Experience in group facilitation.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and computer skills.
• Reliable and stable as evidenced by previous experience.
• Experience working within First Nation communities.
• Minimum of 2 years of being substance free.
• Actively involved in a current personal recovery plan.
• Submission of current Police Check + Vulnerable Sector Check; and Drivers Abstract
