The Major Projects Office’s Indigenous advisory council met with CEO Dawn Farrell and other senior team members for the first time late last week.

The Carney government launched the Major Projects Office (MPO) in late August to streamline regulatory approvals and help coordinate project financing.

It appointed 11 representatives from First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities to an advisory body tasked with guiding the MPO on how to include Indigenous perspectives and interests in major projects.
